The new building takes shape. New temporary wards had been erected at the front of the hospital to accommodate patients during the rebuilding.

The new building is on three levels built on the side of the hill. One can enter the building on ground level off Whielden Street and exit the built at the back two levels up straight into the car park.

The last part of the hospital to be demolished was the Chenies Nurses Home

The nurses home was built in the 1960s and had been a blot on the sky line. It would appear they left the old mobile phone transmitters in place.

To the right are the new houses / flats built on the site of the old Heberden Unit

The old Work House building has been converted into apartments / flats. The site occupied by the Chenies Nurses home will have houses and flats built on it. The new blocks should not be as high as the old nurses home.
New housing has been built at the back of the hospital, along with more flats and houses on where the nurses home was. The grey structure is a bridge from the car park to the new hospital.
Nothing now remains of the Chenies Nurses home, soon there will be houses and flats here
